Deleting your Meymi account

How to delete your Meymi account and everything attached to it, what disappears at once, and what we keep for a short while before it is erased for good.
From inside the app
This is the fastest way, and it needs nothing from us.
- Open Meymi and go to Settings.
- Choose Delete account.
- Confirm. It takes effect immediately.
If you no longer have the app
Write to contact@meymi.app from the email address on the account, with "Delete my account" as the subject. We verify that the address matches an account and delete it within thirty days, usually within a few days. You do not need to reinstall anything.
What is deleted immediately
The moment the deletion is confirmed:
- Your account is disabled and you can no longer sign in.
- Your name, email address and profile photo are cleared.
- Your recipes, reels, comments and group messages stop being visible to anyone.
What is kept for thirty days, then erased
The remaining record survives for thirty days, then it is erased for good. That window exists for two reasons: it lets support reverse an accidental deletion, and it gives moderation a subject if something you posted is still under review. After it, nothing identifying you remains.
An active subscription is not cancelled by deleting your account. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings, where you bought it — we have no power over a store subscription.
Deleting some of your data without deleting your account
You do not have to leave to remove what you have written. From inside the app you can delete any of your recipes, your reels, your messages and your comments, one by one, at any time.
